ItineraryDay 1: Mount Falcon Castle, Ballina, County MayoArrive in Ireland this morning for a 3-night stay at the beautiful Mount Falcon Castle in County Mayo. This luxury property is located on the west bank of the River Moy, on 100 acres of magical woodlands. Day 3: Enjoy a day touring Mayo & visit WestportWestport is a popular lively & picturesque town with Georgian architecture, great restaurants and traditional music pubs. Climb Croagh Patrick or perhaps visit Achill Island. You can be as active as you like – enjoy hiking, fishing, golfing and horse-back riding, or just relax with a coffee or a pint and view the spectacular mountains, cliffs and the Blue Flag Beaches. Day 4: Beech Hill Country House, DerryExplore Irelands North West Coast. Donegal is the second largest county in Ireland and is perhaps the most spectacular. It has everything going for it, an amazing coastline, mountains with wonderful valleys, and a rugged and truly picturesque landscape. You will have the opportunity to visit some wonderful ancient sites like the Beltony Stone Circle. There are incredible scenic drives in Donegal and these include Slieve League Cliffs, (the highest sea cliffs in Europe) Glencolumbcille, Glensesk Pass and more. Enjoy the wonderful towns and villages to be seen, some famous for their tweeds and woolens. You will make friends here, the people are said to be the nicest in the country! Make your way to Derry and settle into the Beech Hill Country House for 2 nights. Visit the Peoples Gallery, the name given to the 12 murals that decorate the houses along Rossville St. Other sites include the Bloody Sunday Memorial and St. Columbus Cathedral, Derry’s oldest surviving building. Day 6: Giants’ Causeway, Bushmills & Cabra CastleBefore heading south to Cavan, drive to the north- east shore to discover the Giants Causeway, a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the great natural wonders of Europe. Visit Old Bushmills Distillery (Irish Whiskey) and the ruins of Dunluce Castle, perched 100 feet above the ocean on a pinnacle of basalt rock. When you arrive at Cabra Castle for your 2 night stay, take time to explore. Wander through the magnificent reception rooms or find a quiet fireside corner to enjoy the castle atmosphere.
