ItineraryDay 1 – Arrive Lisbon airport. En route to Fatima, view the “Miracle of the Bleeding Host”Arrive at Lisbon airport and meet your Destinations representative, who will stay with you throughout the tour. En route to Fatima, stop at Santarem to view the “Miracle of the Bleeding Host.” Dinner and overnight in Fatima Day 2 – Tour the holy places at the Shrine of FatimaFatima is where the Blessed Mother appeared to three shepherd children in 1917. Tour the holy places at the Shrine of Fatima, including the Basilica, the tombs of the children, The Chapel of the Apparitions, and the Miraculous Fountain. See Valinhos, where Our Lady appeared to the children. Visit the Fatima church and Aljustrel, the hamlet where the children were raised. Overnight in Fatima Day 3 – The Carmelite Monastery at Coimbra, Born Jesus, the Holy Mountain of SamieroAfter Mass, head for Braga and stop at the Carmelite Monastery at Coimbra. Continue to Braga for a visit to Bom Jesus and the “Holy Mountain of Samiero.” Dinner and overnight in Braga Day 4 – Santiago de Compostela, the Cathedral of St. James, and a tour of the basilicaLeave for Santiago de Compostela, one of the most famous shrines in Christendom. Tradition holds that the Apostle James was cast ashore here, that he preached for seven years and was responsible for the conversion of Spain before returning to the Holy Land. Celebrate Mass at the Cathedral of St James and take a tour of the basilica. Dinner and overnight in Santiago Day 5 – After breakfast, travel to LeonDinner and overnight in the Leon area Day 6 – Panoramic tour of Madrid landmarks, including the Royal PalaceDrive to Madrid and enjoy a panoramic tour of famous landmarks, including the Royal Palace. Overnight in Madrid Day 7 – Explore ZaragozaLeave for Zaragoza and an afternoon visit to this thriving city. Visit Boly Mill, where St. Bernadette was born; the Cachot, a former jail and her home during the apparitions; and the parish church. The afternoon is free – explore the legendary baths of the miraculous Lourdes spring, or climb the mountain of the Stations of the Cross.
